Slipstream Creates

Through the Slipstream Creates program, Slipstream demonstrates the commitment to artists by supporting their professional development, development of new work and presentation of the work of local independent artists through new and established performance platforms.

While support is limited by budget and subject to funding there are four levels of support through Slipstream Creates:

Space – (just space or space and outside creatives & actors); Space for artists to train to maintain skills.

New work that has little or no previous development, requiring space and/or outside creatives & actors to further develop the work.

Development – New work that has had some development or been through Slipstream Creates or upon submission is identified as requiring a presentation for further development.

Presentation – New work that has been developed through Slipstream Creates or upon submission is identified as ready for presentation.

Produces – Assisting artists to have work presented in Tasmania and/or access grants or funding otherwise unavailable to independent artists.

Please note: all projects submitted remain the property of the independent artist/group, regardless if they are selected.

To engage in this program please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line ‘Slipstream Creates request’ With an introduction to you as an artist, the level of support requested and contact information.
